Encore is just one of the five brand names I know of that  were assigned to this radio.  The innards were pretty much the same, but the exteriors were different.

     Note the jet or rocket motif, common in the late 50s and early 60s.

     To wit, compare this with the Reverse Paint Royal . Both have the wire handle.  Even the tuning wheel is the same.

     I was fooled by these radios.  Their styling and construction are pre-1960.  Authorities tell me they were built in 1963.
