Made in 1951, the year I was born, this is one my favorite radios.

Transistor radios were not introduced until 1954. So this is no transistor radio. It uses miniature tubes and two battery types, one of which is 67 volts!

The stunningly lovely swirled plastic (this is "Santay") was popular in the 40s and died out in the early fifties. It is rare to find it without cracks or chips. I have two of these radios, both in beautiful condition.
